When teachers lack resources, students lack resources. We have the opportunity to help improve the educational experiences of the kids in our community. It costs a lot to set up a classroom. Each element a teacher adds helps improve the atmosphere, learning tools, libraries, and sense of inspiration a student feels towards learning. School budgets are able to cover a very limited amount of these needs, and the rest of the funding falls to Parent Teacher Clubs, a teacher pays from their own pocket, or the need goes unmet.
While we’d all love to see school funding cover the variety of needs, there is an opportunity here for us to make a difference. Each August, we collect the Amazon Wishlists of educators in our district and we invite the community to help us CLEAR THE LISTS!
Provides teachers with the tools and materials needed to create engaging and inspiring learning environments.
Empowers the community to directly support local educators and students by clearing wishlists and meeting immediate needs.
