About ASAP

Our Organization & Mission

Learn about ASAP’s mission to support students in poverty in Albany, Oregon. Focused on under resourced schools, we connect students with resources to thrive.

Our Organization

Advocating for and supporting marginalized students in Greater Albany Public Schools (GAPS)

ASAP was initially founded to advocate for and support marginalized students in Greater Albany Public Schools (GAPS), specifically focusing on students of color, LGBTQIA2S+, students in poverty and students with special needs. As additional community partners have undertaken targeted advocacy for students of color and LGBTIQA2S+ students, it became apparent there was a need for a specific focus on the GAPS students experiencing poverty. In order to more effectively assist and represent our students impacted by poverty and under-resourced schools, ASAP re-envisioned itself as a community-based non-profit organization specifically focused on high-needs, high-risk populations in GAPS.
